The INSITU augmented reality path

The INSITU app takes the public on a virtual tour of great classics, contemporary works, Quebec heritage and breathtaking performances. Made up of 23 augmented reality experiences, this journey brings together the public, artists and landmarks of Montreal culture.

Be ready! The app features some of Montréal’s most important cultural institutions: Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Opéra de Montréal, Office National du Film, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Théâtre Duceppe, Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Cirque Éloize, La TOHU, Pointe-à-Callière, Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, Musée McCord, La Maison Théâtre, PHI, Salle Bourgie, Place des Arts, BAnQ.

In front of each of the 17 institutions, highly visible and colorful markers - a large dot on the ground - indicate where to stand and how to connect using a QR code.

The INSITU interactive wall

Projected onto the Maison Symphonique and visible from the Place des Arts Esplanade, the INSITU interactive wall is an original immersive experience that beckons visitors to join in the live creation of an interactive, participatory and entertaining work of art. Anyone can leave their mark on the wall. Stored in memory, it can reappear at any time and be combined with other silhouettes.
