With the theme of “Candles & Ribbons,” Black & Blue 2000 welcomed more than 15,000 people to Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. Centre field was covered in 34,000 red and white candles in a recreation of the AIDS ribbon. The work was a tribute to those who had fallen victim to AIDS and those afflicted with HIV.
